Real Madrid Set to Sign a Sponsorship Deal with Real Madrid

Real Madrid Football Club is one of the greatest Spanish professional football clubs in Madrid. Having both male and female football club. The club is one to be reckoned with judging from its excellent records both past and present. The coronavirus which has ravaged all aspects or sectors of the World, football inclusive has made some football club owners find it difficult to finance their clubs. Real Madrid has not left out this saga as it keeps looking for ways of covering up for the economic crises which the outbreak of the coronavirus has brought. This led to the trendy news all over social media of a possible sponsorship deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Skyline International for Human Rights stated in a press release that Real Madrid is having a conversation with Ssufk Arabia concerning a £150 million partnership deal. The sponsorship deal is made possible by the Qiddiya project located in Saudi Arabia. The sponsorship agreement when signed will see Spanish champions help promote the country’s Quiddiya project, making Quiddiya the lead sponsor of the Real Madrid Women Team. This project will last for ten years. Saudi Arabia’s state-owned Quiddiya is a super project set up in line with Saudi Arabia’s 2030 vision framework. The country is striving to make the proposed project the hub of entertainment, arts, and sports. However, the proposed sponsorship agreement deal will require Real Madrid to dedicate at least four of its players from the men team to support the Quiddiya project and this when signed will be promoted on the team’s website and social media platforms. Real Madrid Women’s Team which is the major target of the proposed sponsorship agreement will also be required to travel to the host country Saudi Arabia to serve as a source of motivation to inspire Saudi girls to be active and participate more in sporting activities. Also, another interesting fact about the sponsorship deal is that the Spanish Football Club is very keen on erecting the club’s entertainment centre in Qiddiya and will also include a store alongside a museum. These have been contained in a Memorandum of Understanding agreed upon by both parties involver. Although, the deal is yet to be officially formalized. The goal of this deal is to help Saudi Arabia through sport appear good in the international scene as a result of their repressive human rights records. This deal when signed will help boost the country’s chances of hosting key events like the championship Boxing Bouts, Formula E races, and also one-off soccer games.

The pressure has already been faced by the club due to the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which will form the basis on which the club will sign the agreement deal with the Qiddiya project. It will also make Qiddiya the lead sponsor of the club for ten years. It is best the club put all factors into consideration like the political and ethical impact before appending a signature to the documents.
