In an exclusive interview with MovieWeb, Shrinking star Ted McGinley discussed the upcoming second season of the Apple TV series, teasing what his character, Derek, will get up to next. McGinley stars alongside Shrinking co-creator Jason Segel and Hollywood legend Harrison Ford in the show, which follows a grieving therapist who decides to get much more involved in the lives of his patients.

“Well, so we’re right now [shooting] in the fifth show, and of course, I can’t tell you anything, but [my character] Derek is going to have a little more to do. It’s going to be fun… funny. There are a lot of crazy storylines, and I think it’ll be compelling television. I will say going to work every day is just an absolute pleasure. I can’t wait to go to the set. You don’t get that every day on different shows, even though I’m really good at that. I will always find a reason to enjoy a job and a certain group of people within that space.”

McGinley, who is best known for roles in the likes of Happy Days, The Love Boat, and Married with Children, went on to heap praise on the cast of Shrinking, and shared how he loved sharing a scene with Indiana Jones and Star Wars icon Harrison Ford.

“I did have my first…I think I can say this… I had a scene with Harrison that was one-on-one, because our worlds don’t really interact, so that one’s going in my book.”
